The quickest way to search for journal articles is to use one of our electronic databases.  The most popular ones are EBSCOhost, JSTOR, and ProQuest.  Tutorials, tips, and tricks are available here; or, if you'd like help, any of the librarians would be happy to sit down with you.  If you have questions but can't make it to the library, take advantage of our online reference services.

You may find it helpful to access them through our LibGuides, where we've bundled together the best resources for each subject.  Click on the Articles tab at the top of the page for links to the best databases for your subject.

They can also be accessed through the quick-link icons along the bottom of the library's home page:

All the library's databases are available both on-campus and off-campus to OBU students, faculty, and staff.  If you are off-campus, you will need to access them though the library's website and will be prompted to log-in with your OBU username and password.

If you have problems with off-campus access, make sure your browser software is up-to-date and able to accept cookies. Also, confirm that your network firewall settings allow access to the library’s web site.  For technical assistance, call IT Services at 870-245-5567 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
